Carpentry & Building has been established for over 25years, trading locally throughout Mid & West Cornwall, providing a service of the highest quality and standard to all our customers.

Although we have been called upon by Architects and Engineer’s to work further a field and have undertaken specific projects as far away as Stratford-upon-Avon. We have also been asked to assist survey teams to gain access and make safe passage to difficult buildings, such as historical buildings & monuments.

Primarily domestic extensions make up the main workload, along with the refurbishment & restoration of older and listed buildings using traditional methods & materials with the emphasis on using sustainable energies and materials where ever possible, which means we are geared to undertake such work professionally and efficiently.

We are currently undertaking a retraining programme and have made a commitment to become an 'Investor in People' accredited company, which will fit nicely with our accreditation to the government recognised 'Trust Mark' scheme.

We are also members of the Federation of Master Builders, the European Builders Confederation and registered with the National Register of Warranted Builders, which means we can offer an insurance backed guarantee with any work undertaken, giving customers greater peace of mind.

To make sure customers have complete confidence that their investment will be completed to their satisfaction and looked after following completion, we undertake each project using the FMB (plain English) contract for building works and operate a 2% retention built into the payment schedule and linked to either a 6 or 12 month maintenance period.

To help customers with what can be a very stressful process we can offer a complete design & build service to include the plans, planning and building regulation applications with the local authorities, project management throughout and of course the build itself.

Or the scope of works can be tailored to suit the individual customer needs and their specific requirements. Which ever is the preferred option as part of our commitment to customer service we offer a free survey & estimate without obligation.  

A unique feature of the website is the client entry page which allows customers to view a photographic gallery of their project to monitor  progress or address a specific issue or finishing detail especially useful for customers who are living 'off site', or long distance customers.
